Review of Robot Testing

Over the last couple of weeks I systematically built, debugged and analyzed our remote controlled robot. Throughout this process we tested the robot's serial communication, perform VSWR testing, gained a better understanding of the robot's sensors work, perform battery testing and EMC testing on the robot.

Robot Testing - Infrared Sensor Installation

In this video I determine how far away our infrared sensor can be placed and still operate correctly. I need to have the sensors placed as far away from ground as possible and still operate correctly in order to maximize ground clearance and prevent the sensors from becoming damaged during normal operations. This same sort of testing represents a great way to test and then install a sensor onto a robot.
